Unfortunately only to be available for those of you in Japan and some parts of Asia. ASUS’s new 19.6 mm-thick UX30 laptop, weighs 1.40 kg, boasts a nice sleek design finish with its shiny aluminum body. It is well equipped with Intel Core 2 Duo SU 9400 processor and runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. A 13.3 inch TFT color LCD display with LED backlight, 320 GB HDD, 3GB DDR2 SDRAM are among its main specs. It will also support SD, SDHC, Mini SD and MMC.

The UX30’s reported retail price is to be around 100,000 yen which works out to be around £680 or $1130 USD, that’s pricing near the high end but considering its alaptop on a diet, this is the pricetag you would more or less expect. The UX30 (or UM30 some blogs are calling it) Available from tomorrow andin Japan.
